He also told a story about copper and an individual who secured 30 million tons of copper from the US Government, but failed to deliver. He was supposed to secure another 270 million tons in Europe.
The Fugio (I Fly) cent had 15 chains indicated the 15 states (original 13 plus Kentucky and Vermont). It featured the "Scared Lady" obverse. The design had many iterations tracked by Sheldon number. Eventually the "Scared Lady" was replaced with Liberty wearing a phrygian cap representing freedom.
Most of the patterns are not collectible with very few known and held mostly in private collections.
