Fixed Price List Part I - (32) lots
Sealed Bid Sale Part I - (14) lots
I expect the remainder of the collection will be sold over the next 2 years.
The sale is being offered by W. David Perkins with an exceptional caveat of no buyers premium on sealed bid lots.
1st choice - 1829 LM-7.1 P58CAC R-4 = $900 (too expensive)
2nd choice - 1829 LM-7.3 P58CAC R-5 = $650 (steep)
3rd choice - 1832 LM-12 P64CAC R-2 = $1925 (out of my price range)
I was interested in several others, but the final determination will depend somewhat on price.
1829 LM-18 P53CAC R-4 (last choice) = $850
1831 LM-3 P63CAC R-4 = $1075
1833 LM-8 P63CAC R-3 = $1725
1834 LM-1 P64CAC R-2 = $4600 (Yikes!)
While I would certainly like to own coins with the Richard Meaney pedigree, the prices seem significantly inflated. I think I will hold off any new purchases.
