I came across an interesting new book called "Mughal Numismatics: Revisiting Rarities - New Perspectives and Fresh Approach" by Mitresh Singh. Published in 2021.
I purchased through Kolbe & Fanning for $75. The same book could be had in India for about $25, but that would entail roping in my cousins to purchase something and then ship it.
I read through the introduction and overview and it appears to be a fine addition to my numismatic library. Rather than a true reference, it instead highlights some of the more unique aspects of Mughal coinage.
