1830 10c JR-1 NGC XF-45 (John McCloskey Collection): Obviously a premium coin based on the grade, rarity (R4+) and the provenance. The coin itself was a bit lifeless, but I still put in a bid of $280 against NGC retail of $350. It hammered for $613 plus $61.30 juice and shipping. Fair price for the coin.
1834 10c JR-2 NGC VF-20. This was less of a premium coin based on the grade and rarity (R3), however the coin had great eye appeal and I feel would certainly be considered strong for the grade by CAC. The most attractive feature to me the die crack starting at star 1 and getting all the way to star 5. The only negative is an old scratch from the tip of Liberty's nose, passing under her eye and making it all the way to the hair curl. A nice crusty original coin that I bid $140 on against a NGC retail of $225. It hammered for $116 plus $11.60 juice and shipping. I am going to try sending a check this time to save some Paypal fees.

I have (2) coins on my watch list for next Sunday
1832 10c JR-3 (R4) PCGS G-06. NGC retail is $60. I think it is graded fairly, but the most amazing feature is the die crack on its way to being a cud from the rim to second arrow through first arrow to A3. Absolutely stunning. I have a bid of $50 against PCGS retail of $60, but would go higher.
1835 10c JR-7 (R4) NGC F-15. NGC retail is $100. This coin is interesting to me primarily due to the rare die variety. The reverse scratches are disheartening, but it is still a pleasing example. I have a bid of $50 against NGC retail of $100 and may have some stretch, but not much.
