ANA National Money Show - Colorado Springs

It was nice to be able to drop into the National Money Show at the Broadmoor.  Similar to last year, it fell right on my wife's birthday, but this year we enjoyed spending the night at the Broadmoor.  The accommodations are truly luxurious.  The rooms are spacious and quiet.  The amenities are first class.

The show itself was OK.  The kids enjoyed their scavenger hunt.  A highlight was meeting US Mint Director Ventris C. Gibson.  She also signed the girls Red Book.  The displays from the Money Museum were excellent as well.  I really liked the Lescher Dollars that were on display.  I did not find anything too appealing to buy, but had my references on me just in case.  I should have brought some items to sell and will be more prepared for the Denver Coin Expo.

Most of the dealers were local.  All of the grading companies along with the major auction houses were there.  But otherwise the show was a typical mix of bullion, US type coins, world coins, currency and exonumia.  Nothing particularly caught my fancy.

I did not listen to any of the talks, nor did I see the collectors exhibits this time.
