Ex Heritage Auctions, Auction 3099 (6 May 2022), lot 31281. The coin hammered for $2800 ($3360 with Buyer's Premium)
Very attractive coin. We have four examples of the Archer Type in the Family collection and would not be willing to bid over $1800. Kumar considers these issues S
UPDATE: Hammered for $2400, significant decrease of $400 over 4 years.
I took a look at both of these lots when they were offered by Heritage in 2022. There was also a Kumaragupta issue that hammered at $11,000 and a debased stater that opened and hammered at the minimum of $625.
UPDATE 5/25/2026 - I ended up bidding on both of these and am currently the high bidder at $1,350. While I think that is a great deal on either one, I would prefer to get outbid on one to preserve cash flow.
